I'm doing my best to spread the word!

It is frustrating that publishers need to sell a certain number of books to make it worth their while. (And it's frustrating that really great books don't get the exposure they need to sell, while not-so-great books get all the attention.) I imagine ebooks and self-publishing and blogging are going to change that paradigm--not sure how, though!Kim Aippersbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02556947405633680410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144605744535591088.post-64566439117468526052011-10-14T05:50:26.131-07:002011-10-14T05:50:26.131-07:00Kim--I heard this summer that Laini said her publi...Kim--I heard this summer that Laini said her publisher didn't think the Blackbringer books had been selling well enough to publish a third book. In this glutted, commercially driven market, that happens to a lot of people. I know I keep getting e-mails from one young fan who wants a third Runaway book. I explain that I have the concept, but my publisher hasn't signed off on it yet. Very frustrating!KateCoombshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05584944601221466789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144605744535591088.post-24439978904626809362011-10-13T09:43:18.326-07:002011-10-13T09:43:18.326-07:00Darn it, why can't writers write more than one...Darn it, why can't writers write more than one book at a time! I'm excited to read Silksinger because I've heard that it's even better than the first book.Chachichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10216391673830772231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144605744535591088.post-84062912106117672502011-10-09T06:32:19.353-07:002011-10-09T06:32:19.353-07:00Chachic--Blackbringer and Silksinger are much more...Chachic--Blackbringer and Silksinger are much more MG than Lips Touch. And yeah, I'm a bit fed up with the endless parade of YA paranormal romance novels, but I was eager to see what Laini Taylor would do with the (sub)genre!KateCoombshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05584944601221466789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144605744535591088.post-31764700793572743142011-10-09T00:08:55.601-07:002011-10-09T00:08:55.601-07:00Yay, I'm glad you enjoyed reading this one and...Yay, I'm glad you enjoyed reading this one and that you decided to post a review of it. I loved Laini Taylor's writing in Lips Touch so I was really excited to read this and I wasn't disappointed. I'm usually not a fan of YA paranormal romance but I made an exception for Laini Taylor. :) I just started reading Blackbringer and it's a bit harder to get into than the other two books that I've read but I'm hoping it gets better as I read more.Chachichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10216391673830772231noreply@blogger.com
