Butterfly Award
How very cool--my writing/blogging friend Linda Gerber of Death by Bikini and Death by Latte fame has given this site a Butterfly Award! Be sure to take a look at Linda's blog--great graphics, interviews, give-aways, and news about YA fiction. Now, these are the rules of the Butterfly Award:
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. Award up to ten other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message for your awardees on their blogs.
Fortunately, I have been building my blogroll for two weeks now and have come across some truly amazing blogs. Here are just a few, for which I will provide more specific awards titles:
Best Masthead Art--3 Evil Cousins
Best Title (evoking, for me at least, the spinning tops of doom from Kimpossible)--Bookshelves of Doom
Most Obscurely Hilarious (Please keep posting!)--Bottom Shelf Books
Best Targeted Blog--Welcome to My Tweendom
Most Artfully Intriguing--Jacket Whys
Most Helpful Overall--Jen Robinson's Book Page

Thanks so much, Kate! You made my day. All the time that I spend on my blog ... I feel like it's worth it if people find what I'm doing useful. Thank you for validating that! And congratulations on the award yourself. I look forward to reading many more posts on Book Aunt (Did I tell you how much I love that name? I'm a book aunt, too).
Thanks, Kate -- my bookshelves are so packed that I worry about causing an avalanche when I walk by them.
Jen's is a big boost always in summarizing with style what is beautifully out there. I second or third, I guess, this award.
Am thrilled to find Book Aunt thru Jen R.
Great title! And fabulous content. Thank you for this new blog.
Am that person in my family- fer sure. Gave out quite a few Miss Bindergarten books to various toddlers in December & am getting ready to ship out Valentine's books (various Madelines)
& two late January birthday books, not yet selected, but I think a spanking new title by Arlene Alda & Lisa Desimini, Iris Has a Virus, a rollicking fun read for this icy season.
Thank you Jen Robinson & Book Aunt.
Jan Godown Annino - Florida
Jan--Ha! And thank you! I'm now going off to look up Iris Has a Virus on Amazon!
Kate! Thanks so much for the honor! Is it okay if I put "Most Obscurely Hilarious" on my business card?
Sorry for being so late to the game, I'm trying to get back on the horse and your post may just be the kick in the pants that I need! Thanks!
Minh Le--Oh, please do! And I will go check your site more often for the latest and greatest!
